Aroha

To foster goodwill and trust among our whanau at every opportunity;

Kotahitanga

To promote opportunities for the welfare and well-being of the whanau, including the relief of poverty and sickness, and the provision of a place in times of need for the whanau;

Whakawhanaungatanga

To strengthen and maintain relationships with whanaunga

Kaitiakitanga

To actively protect, manage, preserve, and conserve the natural resources of the marae and environs.

Kiingitanga

Kahotea is a Kiingitanga Marae and upholds the Kiingitanga, its kaupapa, vision, and values.
